Champions Day: Take these great value bets!

Approaching the first edition of British Champions Day at Ascot, we are already presented with a couple of great betting opportunities. Using sensible wagering strategies, we should be able to lock up a healthy profit in one race, and pick up an excellent over-the-odds horse in another.

Future Champions Day: Potential stars on show

Newmarket Oct 8: Six Group races, three of them for juveniles, form an excellent program at 'HQ' on Saturday. The Dewhurst Stakes, Middle Park Stakes and Rockfel Stakes have attracted a total of 34 youngsters ready to be tested at the highest level. These races often throw up future classic winners. In addition, we may get Bredeers' Cup pointers in the Challenge Stakes and Darley Stakes, two highly competitive races for the older brigade. This is a raceday not to be missed.

Queen Elizabeth II: Frankel to lead 3yo domination?

Ascot Oct 15: The unbeaten, the excellent, the superb Frankel will be long odds-on as he takes in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (G1) as his last start this season. And he could easily lead a domination by the three-year-olds, as the French filly Immortal Verse and the fast improving colt Excelebration are his most serious rivals.

131p - FRANKEL (Galileo)
123p - EXCELEBRATION (Exceed and Excel)
120p - IMMORTAL VERSE (Pivotal)

Full preview, with selections and betting plan, now posted.

Champions Fillies & Mares: Vita Nova a tepid favourite

Ascot Oct 15: Bookmakers have put the Henry Cecil trained Vita Nova up as their 3-1 favourite for the iunaugural running of the Champions Filly & Mare Stakes.

This is an open affair though, as Globeform ratings clearly show quite a few of these are in with a realistic chance of landing the spoils. Oaks heroine Dancing Rain will have her supporters, as will the lightly raced four-year-old Ferdoos and Frankie Dettori's mount Meeznah.

Competitive is the best word to use in describing this lineup. Top class it ain't but it should be a good race.
