| The Manhattan: A clash of generations |
|
Belmont Park 6 June: Young and old are set to meet in the 10-furlong Manhattan Handicap (G1) on Belmont day.
Better Talk Now, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1) at Lone Star Park five years ago, ran fifth in the Manhattan last year and the ten-year-old is still around for another crack at this prize.
Among his rivals we find a trio of improving four-year-olds; this year’s Kilroe Mile (G1) winner Gio Ponti, last year’s Hollywood Derby winner Court Vision and his arch rival Cowboy Cal, who turned the form around when they filled second and third behind Einstein on Derby day at Churchill Downs. The classy - but inconsistent Champs Elysees is also in the mix – in what is truly a clash of generations.
Final field, with Globeform ranking and GF rating profiles now posted

| Coronation Cup: Youmzain tries to go one better |
|
Epsom Downs: Runner-up in this race twelve months ago, and also second in the past two editions of the ‘Arc’ at Longchamp, Youmzain is a strong contender for the Investec Coronation Cup (G1) at Epsom on Oaks day.
Last year’s impressive Oaks winner, the lightly raced Look Here, will be among his eight rivals.
GLOBEFORM PICKED THE 1-2-3 IN CORRECT ORDER IN THIS RACE!
1 - ASK @ 5-1 / 2 - Youmzain / 3 Look Here

| The Oaks: Sariska meets Rainbow View |
|
Twelve fillies are set to go to post for the Investec Oaks (G1) at Epsom Downs on Friday.
Sariska heads the betting market at around 5/2, following her impressive win in the Musidora at York, but last year's champion juvenile filly Rainbow View has had her odds cut in recent days, as has Henry Cecil's sole representative Midday. Sir Michael Stoute, arguably the hottest trainer in Europe at the minute, runs the lightly raced improver Phillipina and Barry Hills has High Heeled in this Oaks - a filly that has already beaten black type colts this year.
GLOBEFORM PICKED SARISKA TO WIN & HIGH HEELED EACH WAY @ 40-1 IN THIS RACE!
1 - SARISKA @ 5-2 / 2 - Midday / 3 High Heelend 33-1

| The Belmont: Borel back on Bird |
|
Belmont Park June 6: Rachel Alexandra will not run in the third leg of the Triple Crown, it was announced Friday, as the guessing game is finally over. Her connections have decided not to ask her to run over 1 1/2 miles and it is a wise decision. Brilliant as she is, such a test of stamina would not be if her favor - and Rachel has little to prove now, having beaten the Derby winner at Pimlico.
Mine That Bird, outstanding in the Kentucky Derby and such a good runner-up in the Preakness, will get Calvin Borel back on board in New York and the combination is sure to start at a short price. Having bypassed the Preakness, Dunkirk is now also back in the mix, as is the recent Peter Pan Stakes (G1) winner Charitable Man.
