Nad Al Sheba 2 March: Rock Music may well start favourite in the Derrisntown Stud Burj Nahaar (G3) but the Godolphin runner seems to be up against it in his attempt for a third win on the bounce.

Win River Win makes a lot of appeal in this opener – where Godolphin’s dual winner Rock Music is a favourite well worth backing against (or laying). He is taking quite a step up in class, and distance, and may have trouble with both these changes.

Cherry Pickings, Checkit, Grand Emporium, Parole Board and the mare Emerald Beauty are all high on the ranking based on form shown at the 2005 Carnival, leaving Win River Win as the highest rated on recent form. He raced prominently throughout and ran out a game winner over 9 furlongs in January. Performing to Globeform 108, the 7-year-old beat Dubai Honour by 1 ¾ lengths, with Curule third and Parasol fourth. Parsol (demoted) and Dubai Honour were first and second past the post in a similar event next time out.

Win River Win’s trainer mentioned the Maktoum Challenge III (G2) as his next target for the horse, but he has lowered his sights and that can pay off. His ultimate goal is the Godolphin Mile (G2) on World Cup night.

This race makes little appeal for exotics betting - but our selection well worth a wager. He is a tempting 13-2 on the English morning line.
