Globeform's Top 50: Sea The Stars overall champ
by Geir Stabell / Globeform
Printer-friendly version

Sea The Stars, who performed to an impressive Globeform 130p whan landing the Irish Champion Stakes (G1) at Leopardstown and went on to complete a perfect season in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1), was Globeform's Champion of 2009.

The Irish trained son of Cape Cross heads the list of our 25 best three-year-olds last season, and he also stands just above the highest rated older horse, the unbeaten Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) heroine Zenyatta.

Close up are names like Rachel Alexandra, a filly probably good enough to have won the US Triple Crown if given the chance in the Kentucky Derby (G1), Rip Van Winkle, yet another star from Ireland, and the filly Stacelita, top rated 3yo based in France.
